Aeka Biochemicals Pvt. Ltd. was the 10th start-up to be awarded start-up status by the Department Of Industrial Policy & Promotion under the Start-Up India Initiative of the Government Of India. The company is also one of the 234 entities awarded this recognition till date. On 28th July 2016, Ms. Aardra Chandra Mouli, Founder-Director, Aeka Biochemicals Pvt. Ltd., was invited to meet the Minister of State for the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, and to participate in a meeting of 28 selected Indian start-ups for discussing the needs and concerns of start-ups in the country.

Ltd. were awarded the Devi Awards for Dynamism and Innovation 2016 in the green-tech category for their work in Aeka Biochemicals Pvt. Ltd. THE Devi Awards, instituted by The New Indian Express for women who excel in their respective fields, were presented on 23rd July 2016, in Kochi, by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan.

Aeka Biochemicals Pvt. Ltd. was awarded the Kairali Innotech Award 2016 in the Best Non-IT Start-Up category. The award was presented by Sri. Mammootty, renowned actor and Chairman, Malayalam Communications Ltd., Sri. John Brittas, MD, Kairali TV, and Sri E. P. Jayarajan, Minister for Industries and Sports, Kerala. The function took place at Mascot Hotel, Trivandrum, on 9th July, 2016, and was attended by luminaries from the business, art, and political spheres. The judging panel for the Kairali Innotech awards for 2016 constituted of Sri. G. Vijayaraghavan, Founder-CEO of Technopark, Sri. C. Balagopal, IAS, founder of Terumo Penpol Ltd., and Smt. Lakshmi Menon, designer and founder of the Ammumma Thiri project.
